REPORT

MOLANDS   The carp have gone off the feed a little this week but the other fish are

making up for it with mixed nets of tench, bream and roach to over 60lb.  Pole fished

pellet, caster or corn at 10 – 12 metres is the best approach but you can also have

good sport fishing close in down the margin, a tactic that is also accounting for a few

bigger carp.  The best areas have been from pegs 1 – 8, 29 – 31, 44 – 48 and 55 -60.

GEARYS    Carp to 16lb have been taken in matches although still not responding in

large numbers there were a lot more caught by pleasure anglers this week with the

shallow water at the top end providing the best action with nets to 50lb possible from

all areas to the pole fished expander pellet or chopped worm and caster which has also

picked tench out to over 5lb.  Best pegs are 7, 14, 15, 16, 23, 24, 27, 30 &31.

LITTLE GEARYS   The warmer weather has seen more fish particularly F1s to 3lb being

caught on pole and pellet fished shallow at 10 – 13 metres with catches to over 40lb

being caught on both sides of the pool.  Roach have also been doing well on the pole

fished caster or pellet.  Best pegs have been 7, 11, 15, 17, 19, 24 and 25.

GRATUITIES   Gratuities is fishing really well with nets to 50lb of small carp, crucians

and tench.  The action is fast and furious with loads of bites on the pole fished pellet,

maggot or caster with corn picking out the bigger samples.  The far side is best with pegs

8 – 14 all fishing well.

SIBLINGS   The tench have been providing the better nets with fishery regular Alan Horne

of Birmingham proving that a basic approach, float fished bread works well taking over 20

tench to 5lb from along the road bank by the inlet pipe.  Mixed catches of small carp, tench,

roach and skimmers also being caught on the pole fished expander pellet or caster.

 The best pegs are 1, 2, 11, 17, 18, 20 to 23.

ANNIVERSARIES   Another pool fishing well if you want mixed nets with tench, crucians,

skimmers, rudd and the odd carp coming to float fished pellet, corn, caster or maggot.

Boilies or meat fished up to the island is accounting for the odd bigger carp with samples

to 17lb caught this week.  Best pegs are 1, 2, 8, 14 and 20.

WILLOW    Plenty of bites on maggot or caster with roach, skimmer and crucians very

obliging at the moment.  Better fish are coming to meat or corn fished down the inside

margins with carp to 5lb and tench to 4lb responding to this tactic.  Best pegs are

1, 5, 6 and 13.
